We arrived in Bath and spent a jolly few hours trying desperately to find the backpackers where we were staying. A ten minute walk turned into about 1.5 hours
After we were checked in, we sank into about 4 days of doing really nothing much. I loved it all. One of the highlights was watching am elderly homeless man getting brutally arrested. But the icecream shops were really really good
On one of the days we hired out a rowboat for the day, and we went boating up and down the River Avon for the afternoon, in gorgeous (And way too hot to be English) Summer weather. Plus ducks. W00t.
We met our first Australian traveller at the backpackers there as well, but that turned out to be a curse, as all of the following nights were full of some truly epic, epic snoring. At any other time it would have been remarkable. He looked and acted exactly like the brother from My Name is Earl. Without the endearing qualities, just the snores and BO
We spent Steph's birthday in traditional fashion, doing nothing much and spending the day in Portsmouth, and seeing "Atonement" at the local cinema. Seriously good movie. She cried twice
I've already told you all about the food festival, and the epic amounts of food we had there. My favourite was the fatboy burger, which had a 12 oz steak with cheese and BBQ sauce. Will come home with some kind of heart condition now
Julia arrived yesterday, and is quite a lot like Jane in almost every way. After a 5.5 hour car ride we found our way to her place, being as unctuous to her as possible for her letting a bunch of Australians into her house for an extended period. I guess that must run in the family
Nothing much else to report here. Busy exploring York. Home soon!

guess who?
